Design and Fabrication 1202
Design and Fabrication 1202 provides an introduction to design and the design process. Students will develop products using a variety of drawing tools and computer-aided-design (CAD) software, and then create their designs in the fabrication lab. Working in small and large groups, students will experience the process of design, product formation and fabrication common in industry. The hands-on portion of this course will cover as much of 60% of the class time and enable students to become proficient with a variety of hand, power, and stationary power tools.

The nature of this course requires students to pass a safety quiz before being permitted to operate tools in the fabrication shop. This will be strictly enforced because safety in the shop is of utmost importance.
