Collaborative Art Projects
Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to participate in collaborative art projects.
Collaborative art projects are important to help developing artists because they teach students to be patient, to learn from each other's skills and strengths, and to respect each other's skill levels and work ethic. These types of art projects also help students create team building and leadership skills as they grow to become confident and independent artists. |
SCHOOL MARKSMarystown Central High School, 2017
Exhibited in Burin Peninsula Arts Council Art Show, "Sea Marks" Artist Statement: Over the last year Marystown Central High students joined to create a textile representation of our school logo. More than 100 students and staff members collaborated to create School Marks. The ‘Sea Marks’ theme illustrates both the unique individuality of our student body, as well as the school community as a whole. The completed piece is a symbol of unity that visually represents our school spirit, while each stitch conveys the differences between students. |
